The USS Bismarck NCC 1108-C is a Mark III Sovereign Class Starship, it is the Flagship of the Task Group Alpha of Task Force 2 for Sixth Fleet. It is currently operating in the Pacifica Expanse, located on the farside of the Cardassian Union. The ship has just started their new mission. On April 30, 2009, the Bismarck was awarded the prestigious Meritous Unit Citation by Sixth Fleet Commander-in-Chief Sam Jones as part of the Fleet's Third Anniversary. The Bismarck is the fourth in a line of Starfleet vessels. The first Bismarck was a Constitution class, which was destroyed after pirates attacked the vessel. USS Bismarck-A was an Excelsior Class vessel that was decommissioned after receiving heavy damage during a study of a black hole. The third was the USS Bismarck-B, which was a Intrepid class that was destroyed during the Keralin War in 2383. The current Bismarck is a Sovereign class.

The Bismarck has a fully operational Engineering, Security / Tactical, Operations, Medical, Science, Flight Control and Intelligence sections. The ship houses C Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Regiment of the 5th Marine Force Expeditionary Unit; and the 47th Fighter Group part of the 23rd Joint Fighter Wing of the Starfleet's 7th Air Force. Additionally, there are Strategic Operations and Diplomatic/JAG Representatives that are assigned to the Bismarck, and at some points guests join the ship for various missions.
