8th March: Nigel Gilson is stepping down as Commanding Officer of the USS Athena. In view of his years of loyal service to the Fleet he has been promoted to the rank of Commodore. We wish him all the ebst in his future endeavours.

20th January: For his exemplary service, quality, and dedication within the simming/online role-playing community, Sam Jones; the Commander in Chief of Sixth Fleet, has been awarded the Simming Prize.

1st December: Michelle Wurscher been appointed the new XO of the USS Hyperion.

27th November: Craig Haywood has stepped down from his position as Commanding Officer of the USS Hyperion. For his service he has been awarded the Croix D'Guerre and the Sixth Fleet Cluster. Charles Jenkinson has been appointed as his replacement.

30th October: Dave Patterson and Jos Abma have switched roles aboard the USS Poseidon. Jos is now he Commanding Officer.

27th October: Dan Clarkson has been re-elected to the position of Deputy Commander in Chief.

17th October: Josh Ward who plays Lt. Commander Gordon aboard the USS Poseidon has graduated from Command School. For his efforts both in front and behind the scenes he has been awarded the Captain's Star.

12th October: As the only candidate to be nominated and accepted the nomination, Sam Jones has been re-elected to the position of Commander in Chief.

28th September: Marni Livni has been appointed as the new Director of Fleet Public Relations.

28th September: There has been a change of Command aboard the USS Athena. Rob Gotcher has been replaced as CO by Nigel Gillson. Rob was awarded the Sixth Fleet Cluster for his services as a CO. Nigel has appointed Dan Woodward as his new XO.

30th August: Dallas Daniels has been appointed as the new Executive Officer of the USS Bismarck. He will be portraying Lieutenant Colonel Sarah Adams.

5th August: James Lambly has been appointed as the new Executive Officer of Starbase 418. He will be portraying Commander Robert Hamish Drake.

14th July: Kevin O'Toole who plays Lt Commander Erell Jed has been appointed at the new Executive Officer of the USS Cambrian.

10th July: Twelve new Red Level Commendations have been created. These new awards compliment the current ones.

4th July: A new webiste has been launched for the new look USS Saturn. To find out more take a look [1].

3rd July: Sadly Piotr Mierzejewski has stepped down from his position as CO of SWORD-7 and resigned from the fleet. He will be sorely missed and in recognition for his distinguished service he has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General.

29th June: A new team has taken over the reigns of Starbase 418. Roy Conklin is the simulations new Commanding Officer, and he has appointed David Jannello as his Executive Officer.

23rd June: Lee Itson has stepped down as Commanding Officer of Starbase 418. He will remain with the simulation, and in recognition for his service he has been awarded the Starfleet Star.

22nd June: The Sixth Fleet Command Senate has ratified a Constitution for Sixth Fleet.

26th May: The USS Swiftsure simulation is transferring to a Sovereign-class vessel; the USS Poseidon NCC-89515. The Swiftsure will remain as a NPC vessel.

30th April: The USS Bismarck has been awarded the Meritous Unit Citation. The citation reads:; This simulation has had a long 12 year history in Tango Fleet and Sixth Fleet. Since it's inception it has been an outstanding simulation of players, always posting to the max and interacting with other simulations in joint missions. In fact, in their latest joint mission, they actually out-posted their co-sim! (Nothing against the other sim, of course! lol.) Under unwavering leadership, this simulation has proven itself time and again to be the pride of Sixth Fleet.

30th April: Piotr has had to step down as the Chief of Fleet Personnel. In his place Captain Moritz Kraft has been promoted to the position.

30th March: With Paul Taylor having stepped down, Roy Conklin has been appointed the new Director of Fleet Public Relations and Editor of the Fleet News Network.

9th March: Along with alterations to the structure of some catagories to help streamline the wiki, the Wiki Team is currently working on standardising the Character Bio's. There may be some teething problems initially; please be patient as we attempt to hunt them down and deal with them. Any queries can be directed to the Team - mailto:wiki_team@sixth-fleet.co.uk

18th December: "Awards" and "Technobabble" can now be found in the Miscellany section.
