Lamaok Nor (Mission)

The Crew of the USS Bismarck along with the USS Belarus, USS Patriot and USS Protostar are dispatched to an abandon Nor Class Cardassian space station, outside of the Cardassian Union, there mission is to get the station online and running.

After the Bismarck and the accompanying ships were outfitted with the supplies and crew, including civilians, the Bismarck set off heading the team to begin preparing the assumed abandoned Lamaok Nor station. When the team arrived at the station, it was discovered there was a population, the remnants of a trading group from the Dominion War called the Beshlav, that had isolated itself on one part of the station that was still functioning.
Teams were set-up to investigate the station and determine it's current functionality. A radiation leak was discover and the Beshlav were all suffering from varying levels of radiation poisoning. Despite medical aid from the starship, the Beshlav were still hesitant about the new arrivals, some to the point of hostility. When main power was brought online to the station, it activated a counter-insurgency program created by the Dominion to be used against Cardassian rebels during the Dominion War. Evacuations of all people, including the Beshlavs, took place to prevent any deaths. However, a small group of Beshlavs took hostages out of fear of being removed by force from their home. The program was shut down, but soon afterward the Beshlav attacked their hostages.
In the end, Marine and Security units were able to get control of the situation, however, not before two Starfleet Officers, Ensign Templeton, a security officer, and Lieutenant Ross, a diplomatic officer, were killed. The Beshlav that attacked were arrested and transported to the Bismarck.
Plans for the station ground to a halt when a team, lead by Ensign Salaris discovered a micro neutron star, the remnant of the Dominion attempt to use an artificial micro star as a power source. Scans indicated that insufficient safety measures are leading to great strain on the structure of the station. It will soon collapse onto itself and be uninhabitable. The repair effort had to be scraped and after deploying warning buoys the ships returned to Deep Space 19. Estimates put to eventual collapse of the station within the next three months. The four ships return to DS19 where the Beshlav will be free to go, with the exception of those who will be prosecuted for the attacks on the Starfleet Officers.
Also during the mission a Cardassian shuttle turned up, the single human occupant was found to be Marine Captain Derek Stone, former Platoon Commander of the Bismarck. Stone had been assigned to a Top-Secret Undercover Operation on Cardassia. After being stabilized and transferred to the Bismarck, confirmation was obtained that his mission had been successful, it was his escape that had caused the problems. Following extensive debriefing and medical recovery, Stone is currently pending assignment, after being promoted to the rank of Major. Details of exactly what his mission was are currently highly classified.

- The USS Belarus is a Nebula Class, Cargo Modified Starship. Her senior staff are relatively new and inexperience.
- The USS Patriot is a Defiant Class Escort, she will be assigned to the station once it is operational.
- The USS Protstar is a Nova Class vessel, she will be assigned to the station once it is operational.
